During the summer, Sacha Boey was frequently mentioned as one of the players Bayern Munich were considering offloading.

Now, Bayern’s board member for sport, Max Eberl, has confirmed that the Frenchman could indeed have left if a suitable offer had come in.

“We would have considered it if something had happened,” Eberl admitted in an interview with Kicker.

Ultimately, however, Boey stayed at Bayern a decision that seems to be paying off for both the club and the player.

With Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito, and Josip Stanisic all sidelined with injuries, Boey has started three consecutive Bundesliga matches and impressed with his performances.

The 25-year-old was signed from Galatasaray in 2024 for €30 million.
