Borussia Dortmund must continue their search to find a suitable buyer for Niklas Süle after AC Milan have cut their approach short.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that the Rossoneri have now decided against signing the 30-year-old.

The well-connected journalist explained that the Italian top club's withdrawal was due to tactical and financial reasons

Multiple reports have suggested for some time that the center-back will have to leave this summer after several disappointing years.

BVB are still hoping for a winter transfer, or even a loan if necessary given Süle's contract expires after the 2025/26 season.

It is unknown how much Dortmund would demand for Süle in the event of a winter sale, but a manageable fee would be satisfactory.

However, the club's management would be more concerned with finally getting Süle off their payroll given his hefty wages.

This season, Süle has only made 3 league appearances alongside only one appearance each in the DFB Cup and Champions League.
