Bayern München coach Niko Kovac complained to his players over 'a lack of respect' following the 3-1 win over VfL Wolfsburg, Bild understands.

Apparently, the Bayern coach made it clear that he was not happy about his substitutes' lazy and indifferent way of warming up during the game.

For example, after being told to warm up, Franck Ribery hardly moved and sat with open legs near the advertising board. Meanhile, Jerome Boateng was lying on the floor when warming up.

As a result of this, Kovac has now introduced two new rules. From now on, all players must warm up before a game - not just the starting eleven. Also, all the players have to get off the bus when arriving at the stadium. Previously, the substitutes stayed in the bus to be on their phones or to play Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch.

It's not the first time that Kovac has felt the need to set out rules for his players. After arriving at the club in the summer, he prohibited the use of mobile phones outside the locker room at Bayern's headquarters and training facility.
