Nico Schlotterbeck "a big fan" of Niklas Süle
Nico Schlotterbeck has revealed that Niklas Süle is a role model for him.
Freiburg defender Nico Schlotterbeck has waxed lyrical about Germany teammate and fellow centre-back Niklas Süle.
Asked if he has any role models in the team, Schlotterbeck told Sport1:
"I'm a big fan of Niklas Süle, of his playing style and how he handles everything. He's a calm player, who is totally serious on the pitch.
"He really always performs very well and also started representing Germany at a very young age like myself."
Schlotterbeck also gave a shout-out to two players, who are not currently in the squad.
"Earlier, I used to cheer for [Jerome] Boateng and [Mats] Hummels," he said.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, who Süle will join from Bayern München this summer.
