This away win took RB Leipzig into the top three and put them in a nice position to finish the season in the Champions League.

Yann Diomande starred in the game as he has done many times this season, also making a point of note that he is still improving and trying to improve.

Speaking to Sky Germany, Ole Werner said: “When my team play such a second half and the substitutes do such a good job you just have to take your hat off and praise them.”

He added: “You can see today, especially in the first half, that we had to deal with one or two shortcomings.”

Finally, he added: “We are back in Europe, that is important at this early point (before the season end).”

It is now confirmed RB Leipzig have at least some form of European football next season.
