Locked in a battle to avoid relegation, Hamburger SV have been dealt a significant injury blow.
As the North German side revealed on Tuesday, Miro Muheim suffered an injury to the anterior syndesmosis in his right ankle during Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Werder Bremen.
As a result, the Switzerland international is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
HSV sit 14th in the Bundesliga, five points above the relegation zone, with four games left to play.
