Dortmund open talks to sign Nico Schlotterbeck

Sport1 reports that Borussia Dortmund have stepped up their interest in Freiburg defender Nico Schlotterbeck.
Borussia Dortmund have reportedly opened talks to sign Nico Schlotterbeck from SC Freiburg.

According to Sport1, the Dortmund bosses met with Schlotterbeck and his representatives three weeks ago.

Negotiations between the two clubs are said to be ongoing, with the player understood to be keen on a move to Dortmund.

Per the report, Freiburg want more than €20 million for Schlotterbeck, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023.

Schlotterbeck has also been linked with a move to Bayern, but the German champions don't currently appear to be part of the race for the highly-rated German international.
