Bayern München star Thomas Müller was naturally disappointed after tonight's 1-1 Champions League quarter-final draw with Villarreal, which sent his side out 1-2 on aggregate.

Müller and his teammates dominated tonight's return leg at Allianz Arena, but were shocked by Samuel Chukwueze's late equaliser.

"If you take just this game into account, without the first game, we should have gone through convincingly," Müller told Amazon Prime (via UEFA.com).

"It's difficult to accept this; I don't know what to say," added the Bayern forward.

"It's bitter to concede after that performance. With the fans behind us, we pushed, pushed, pushed from the start. We have to do more in front of goal."
