Sitting in 17th place without a win on the season, things are not going well for Pellegrino Matarazzo's side. Although there wasn't any lack of effort displayed in their loss to Union Berlin on Matchday 9, Stuttgart did lack efficiency once again in front of goal.

Per Bild, meetings took place late Sunday evening to discuss Matarazzo's future, but a final decision has not been reached as of Monday afternoon. There is a good chance that their well-respected coach is given one more opportunity against Bochum this weekend, where three points is a necessity.

Following the game, Matarazzo said that, “From the heart I wish the team much success. They are all great guys, top human beings. I’m very optimistic that they can win against Bochum irrespective of who sits on the bench.”

Sporting Director Sven Mislintat commented that, “I love Rino and he has my full support, but I don’t decide this on my own. In the end it’s the case that we must deliver.”
