Then, in Bayern München's first Bundesliga game of the 2018/19 season, Coman suffered another syndesmosis ligament tear, and the French winger has only just returned to the pitch recently after he had to go through a second foot operation.
Now, the 22-year-old says he'll consider retiring in case of another foot injury.
"It has been a very difficult year. When I got injured, I felt it was the end of the world," Coman said in an interview with Telefoot and added:
"I hope I don't have to relive what I've been through. I won't accept a third foot operation. Enough is enough. Maybe my foot isn't made for playing at this level. I will then go on to live another life - an anonymous life".
In total, Coman has made 67 appearances for Bayern München with 13 goals and 10 assists to his name.
