Today, Monday, Bayern Munich are holding their quarterly supervisory board meeting, with one of the topics on the agenda being potential contract extensions beyond 2027 for CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, sporting board member Max Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund.

According to Munich-based tabloid Abendzeitung, Dreesen is very likely to be offered a new deal, but the futures of Eberl and Freund are still “very much open”.

Eberl’s work is under particular scrutiny, with costly contract extensions seen as a key point of criticism.

His relationship with Freund is understood to be strained, with Kicker recently describing their cooperation as a "forced marriage".

Eberl himself recently said he could imagine continuing beyond 2027, while supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß was tight-lipped, saying that talks over contract extensions for the management cannot begin yet due to company policy.

Whether Dreesen, Eberl and Freund will be offered new deals is expected to be decided definitively in August.
