Lautern decide to dismiss Grammozis, Sport Bild reports

Germany's main sporting tabloid is currently reporting that 1. FC Kaiserslautern have opted to sack head-coach Dimitrios Grammozis after only eight matches in charge.
A berth in the DFB-Pokal semi-finals is evidently not enough to spare 1. FC Kaiserslautern trainer Dimitrios Grammozis the axe. Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid currently reports that Lautern have opted to sack the 45-year-old after just eight matches in charge. The former Kaiserslautern player took charge of the team at the beginning of December following the firing of Dirk Schuster.

Grammozis led the Pfälzer Red Devils to two victories in Germany's domestic cup, guiding the team past Nürnberg in the Round-of-16 and Hertha in the quarterfinals. Just one win in six league fixtures nevertheless saw the team slip from 13th place in the 2. Bundesliga table to the relegation playoff place. A league loss against SC Paderborn 07 over the weekend appears to be the end-of-the-line.
