UEFA Nations League: Upamecano and Olise start on bench for Zidane’s France against Van Bommel’s Belgium

FC Bayern duo Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise will start on the bench for France against Belgium in anticipated UEFA Nations League clash. The latter created the only goal of the game in Zinedine Zidane's France debut against Türkiye, but only the goalkeeper Mike Maignan and former Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix kept their places from Friday's lineup.

Belgium also won their opening game of the competition away in Rome. Dodi Lukebakio, who also used to play for Wolfsburg, scored off the bench against Italy, but he will start as a substitute once again. Former FC Bayern midfielder Mark van Bommel replaced Rudi Garcia as Belgium national team coach after the World Cup.

Türkiye host Italy in the other game from the group. Eintracht Frankfurt's attacker Can Uzun keeps his place in Vincenzo Montella's lineup, while Ozan Kabak also starts in defense. Nürnberg striker Mohamed Ali Zoma made his Italy debut against Belgium, but he was dropped from the matchday squad altogether for this one.
