Emil Forsberg admits he might not spend the rest of his career at RB Leipzig as he has a 'dream of playing somewhere else at some point'.

The 28-year-old extended his deal with 'Die Roten Bullen' until 2022 in 2017, but can't guarantee he will stay that long.

"We'll see. I feel very comfortable in Leipzig. We have a fantastic year ahead of us. But I've been here for five years now. I can't say it's not something I think about, but it isn't what I'm focusing on right now," Forsberg told Aftonbladet and added:

"I have a big connection with the club, and we have a good cooperation. But like any player, I dream of playing somewhere else at some point."

When asked where he dreams of playing, the 28-year-old said:

"I've always been attracted by Spain and Italy."

RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche has made it clear that he isn't currently considering offering Forsberg a more lucrative deal to try to hold on to him.

"He still has a long contract which we recently extended. There are certainly other priorities for us. There are players who will only have one year left in the summer," Krösche told Bild and continued:

"Of course, we have to pay in line with the market. But we can't reward every goal or every good game. It's not like the marketing employee gets a special bonus for every new campaign. We pay decent salaries and expect good performances in return.

"But, of course, we are also subject to the mechanisms of football. If someone does well over a longer period of time, you sit down with the player and the agent and discuss a possible contract extension," Krösche said.

Forsberg joined RB Leipzig from Swedish side Malmö FF in January 2015.
