Borussia Mönchengladbach are currently expected to say goodbye to at least five players in the summer, according to Bild.

Tobias Strobl, Raffael, Oscar Wendt and Fabian Johnson are all out of contract at the end of the season and probably won't be offered new deals, as per the report.

Ibrahima Traoré, whose contract runs until 2021, should depart the club as well, having played just two games since Marco Rose took over as coach last summer.

"We are in talks with all the players, everyone already knows how we see things. We owe that to the players. But there is still nothing final to announce," Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl told Bild.

"We don't offer contracts based on past merits. It must make sense for all parties - each place in our squad must be meaningfully occupied," he added.
