Harry Kane returned to team training on Monday after recovering from an ankle knock ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Speaking at press conference on Monda yevening, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany confirmed that Kane is available, but a decision on whether he will start will not be made until Tuesday.

“It was important that he did a lot of training today. I don’t think he has lost his rhythm. We’ll wait until tomorrow and then decide.

“Harry knows how important this match is. He must also say whether he's ready to start. We'll see how it goes tomorrow,” said Kompany, who has nearly a full squad at his disposal.

“Everyone is available except Sven Ulreich. We have a great squad and are ready for the games.”

Reflecting on his first encounter with Real Madrid as a coach, Kompany added:

“Everything will matter tomorrow. This is my first time here as a coach, but we have a lot of experience in games like this. The outcome will be shaped partly by tactics, but above all by the little things – the individual quality of the players.

"We’ve prepared thoroughly for Real and have studied what they did against City. It’s perhaps the toughest away game you can play, but we want to win.”

Tuesday’s clash at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is set to kick off at 21:00 CET.
