All upcoming Bundesliga games to be played behind closed doors

All games of the Bundesliga's Matchday 26 will take place without fans as a measure to halt the spread of the coronavirus.

Wednesday's Bundesliga game between Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Köln will be played at an empty stadium due to the coronavirus outbreak.


The same goes for every game of the upcoming Bundesliga matchday, which will take place between Friday and Monday, it has been announced throughout the week.

Union Berlin said on Tuesday that Saturday's game against Bayern München was expected go on as planned, but the local authority has now decided that the game will be played behind closed doors after all.

Bayern München are likely to play a string of their upcoming home games at Allianz Arena behind closed doors after Bavarian state prime minister Markus Söder confirmed on Tuesday that all events with over 1,000 attendees throughout the state will be cancelled until April 19 in case of any doubt.
