Revealed: Why Callum Hudson-Odoi's transfer to Bayern fell through
Bayern München were in talks with Chelsea to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi on loan, but the transfer didn't materialize because the London club wanted to insert certain clauses in the deal, according to Sport Bild.

After failing to sign Hudson-Odoi last year, the Bavarians reignited their interest in the 19-year-old as they contacted Chelsea about a potential loan deal shortly before the deadline, but the two clubs weren't able to reach an agreement.
According to Sport Bild, Chelsea wanted to insert various clauses in the deal, including one that would force Bayern to make a penalty payment if Hudson-Odoi didn't get enough playing time and a €77 million purchase obligation that would be activated if he made a certain number of appearances.
Since Bayern didn't want to accept Chelsea's demands, they broke off talks with the London club on Saturday. Ultimately, they ended up signing Douglas Costa on loan from Juventus instead.
