Nick Woltemade scored for Stuttgart for the third game in a row as they defeated Heidenheim 3-1 on Sunday.

After the win, which lifted Stuttgart up to sixth in the table, the striker was delighted with his side's performance.

"It was a good game from us. We knew it would be tough, intense and a battle, but we deserved to win. We scored three goals again, got the win and had more chances to score," said Woltemade, who is happy to be playing up front alongside Ermedin Demirovic.

"It works very well with 'Demi' in attack. Together we create very good chances. But we're doing well in general - both those who are on the pitch from the start and the lads who come on. That's what distinguishes us, and the power from the bench is important.

“Goals are always nice and I'm happy to have scored the penalty just before the end of the game. It's a great feeling.”

Woltemade and Stuttgart play their final game of 2024 at home to St. Pauli on Saturday.
