Official: Schalke complete Adamu signing from Freiburg

The versatile Austrian has completed his move to the newly promoted Bundesliga side from Gelsenkirchen.

Junior Adamu is transferring from SC Freiburg to FC Schalke 04, the Gelsenkirchen club confirmed this evening, 11 June.

The nine-time Austrian international has put pen to paper on a contract which runs with the Royal Blues until 30 June, 2029.

Last season, the 25-year-old was on loan to Scottish outfit Celtic FC, with whom he won the domestic league title and the cup.

Adamu, who joined Freiburg from RB Salzburg in 2023, played 67 games for the Breisgauers in all competitions, offering 7 goals and 4 assists.
