VfL Wolfsburg and Marius Müller are parting ways after two years together, the club confirmed this afternoon.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper has bid farewell to his teammates at the Autostadt club and is moving to Scotland to join Aberdeen.

Müller, who cut his teeth at 1.FC Kaiserslautern, eventually moved from FC Schalke 04 to Wolfsburg in the summer of 2024.

As the number two behind Kamil Grabara, Müller made eight competitive appearances in his two seasons with the Wolves.

“Marius has fully identified with VfL Wolfsburg from day one,” said Wolfsburg's sporting director Pirmin Schwegler.

"We openly discussed his current sporting prospects and jointly concluded that the move to Aberdeen is the right step for both sides.

“We thank Marius for his commitment in the VfL jersey and wish him all the best for his future, both professionally and personally”.
