According to sources at Sport BILD, FC Porto has entered the race for VfL Wolfsburg striker Dženan Pejčinović.

The Portuguese club was prepared to pay €23million for the 21-year-old which was promptly rejected by Wolfsburg.

However, Porto isn't giving up and still believes they have a chance of signing Pejčinović despite interest from VfB Stuttgart.

Stuttgart's initial offer failed two weeks ago, with the Baden-Württemberg side offering a total package of €18million.

However, the relegated Bundesliga club is demanding a €25million transfer fee for the German U-21 international.

Stuttgart is prepared to submit a new offer totaling €22million, but even this new offer will likely not be enough to satisfy Wolfsburg.

While Porto's interest could drive up the price, the good news for Stuttgart is that Pejčinović is still determined to move to the Swabian outfit.
