In an exclusive interview with RTL/ntv and sport.de, RB Leipzig captain David Raum discussed the club's ambitions for the current campaign.

"First of all, I'm not a fan of setting big goals right after five matchdays. What I can say, and what's no secret, is that we at RB Leipzig want to play international football.

"I simply hope that we continue to grow as a team, that we stand together, even if setbacks come again at some point. And they will come," said the full-back.

While missing out in Europe entirely will be considered a flash in the pan for Leipzig, the 27-year-old also dreams of playing consistently for the German national team once again.

"We [Germany] want to get back to the top of the world. We want to play well at the World Cup, qualify. We want to grow there, too," he explained.
