After the winger's Manchester United future has been up in the air throughout the summer, following the end of his Chelsea loan spell, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has confirmed that the Englishman will not be making a move back to Westfallenstadion.

"I've had this topic come up repeatedly in recent weeks," said Kehl, talking to Sky. “But in the end, we have to stay within our financial possibilities and can't do crazy things.”

“I can understand everyone's desire, but Jadon Sancho will not transfer to BVB.”

Fabrizio Romano reports this morning that the winger is set to join West Midlands club Aston Villa, after winning the UEFA Conference League with Chelsea last term.

Sancho signed for Dortmund in 2018, and scored 38 times before a big-money move to Manchester United in 2021.

Sancho returned to the club on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season; however as confirmed by Kehl, another reunion is off the cards this summer.
