Deniz Undav’s long-term future at VfB Stuttgart appears uncertain, according to Sport Bild.

The 29-year-old's current contract runs until 2027, and with Stuttgart determined not to enter the final year of his deal, talks over an extension are expected to be accelerated soon.

Whether an agreement can be reached, however, is far from guaranteed.

The report suggests Undav is seeking a three-year extension, while Stuttgart are leaning towards a two-year deal for the German international.

In addition, Undav should not expect his current salary of €4.5 million per year to be increased.

If talks stall, Stuttgart could look to cash in on Undav during the summer.

European top clubs including some from the Premier League have reportedly expressed interest in the forward.
