The Bundesliga has reportedly secured it's biggest sponsorship deal in its history, according to a recent Sport BILD article.
Germany's topflight division will continue it's 28-year partnership with Electronic Arts, extending it for another seven seasons.
According to the popular tabloid, the total value of the deal is around €250million which will go straight into the Bundesliga's coffers:
“The committee was informed of the final terms at a meeting this week, and the 36 clubs were notified on Thursday.”
The licensing partnership applies primarily to the football video game EA FC, from which the Bundesliga expects a large international reach:
Electronic Arts claims “it offers an authentic Bundesliga experience with licensed clubs, players, stadiums and jerseys”.
