Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has joined Werder Bremen on loan for the rest of the season.

The Green-Whites confirmed the signing of the Nigerian forward on Monday evening.

“We’re glad we were able to finalize the loan and bring Victor in for us. He has delivered outstanding performances in the Bundesliga and proven his qualities. We’re convinced he can build on that here with us,” said Werder’s head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer.

Boniface, who played a key role in Leverkusen’s title-winning 2023/24 campaign, expressed his excitement about the move:

“The talks with the management convinced me to make the switch to Werder. I want to contribute with my performances so that we can achieve our goals together this season. I’m excited about my new team and my time at Werder.”
