World Cup: Spain through to Round of 16 after comfortable victory over Rangnick's Austria

A brace from Mikel Oyarzabal sends Spain to the next round at the expense of Austria. Pedro Porro scored his first international goal between Oyarzabal's expert finishes as the other fullback Marc Cucurella registered two assists in a dominant display by the European champions.
Ralf Rangnick's exit means England's coach Thomas Tuchel is the only German left in the tournament. The former Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig man used a total of nine Bundesliga-based players in the match they were outplayed from start to finish.
Alejandro Grimaldo, who has joined Atletico Madrid from Bayer Leverkusen, is yet to play his first World Cup minutes. Spain will face the winners of Portugal and Croatia in the Round of 16. Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer and Borussia Dortmund’s Marcel Sabitzer played every minute for Austria in the competition.
