Karlsruhe secured a comeback win against Arminia Bielefeld to hit the 40-point mark with five games left to play in 2. Bundesliga. The visitors could now drop into the bottom three if results elsewhere don’t go their way.

January signing Robin Knoche puts Bielefeld ahead with the game’s first clear-cut chance, but Christian Eichner’s side responded just seven minutes later. Louey Ben Farhat leveled the score with a fine finish before coming close to scoring two in two minutes.

Bielefeld managed to handle the pressure after that until Christoph Kobald put Karlsruhe ahead for the first time in the night after the hour mark. Then, the evergreen Marvin Wanitzek scored his 14th goal of the season before providing his second assist of the game to Shio Fukuda’s 89th-minute strike.
