At the 2026 World Cup, FIFA has introduced a new individual player ranking system based on match data.

Since the start of the tournament, all outfield players have been rated on a scale of 0-10 across three categories – attacking, creativity and defending – and two of those three categories are currently led by Bayern Munich players.

According to FIFA.com, Michael Olise currently tops the creativity rankings with a score of 8.15. Interestingly, Germany and Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz sits second in the category with a rating of 7.53.

Meanwhile, Olise’s Bayern and France teammate Dayot Upamecano leads the defending rankings with a score of 7.58.

Another France star, Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé, ranks first in the attacking category with a score of 8.71.

The French team take on Morocco in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
