After losing the battle for Florian Wirtz's signature to Liverpool, Bayern Munich shifted their primary focus to Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.

However, it now looks like they may miss out on the 22-year-old Spain international as well.

Following reports that Williams would prefer a move to FC Barcelona, Foot Mercato now claims the winger has agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants on a contract running until 2031.

The transfer won’t come cheap for financially struggling Barcelona, as Williams’ contract reportedly includes a release clause of around €60 million - an amount Athletic Club is unwilling to budge on.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola and Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku are also among the attacking players linked with Bayern.
