Der Spiegel contacted Bayern Munich today to ask whether the club will allow Jérôme Boateng to have an internship under Vincent Kompany.

Bayern have not responded, with the club yet to comment publicly on the matter regarding their former centre-half.

However, Vincent Kompany's word carries weight and previously opened the door to his former teammate whom he calls ‘a good friend’.

The legal proceedings against Boateng have concluded and ‘officially’ has no criminal record against his name.

The 2014 World Cup winner was taken to court for accusations of assault and bodily harm against his former partner on vacation in 2018.

Nevertheless, there could be a reaction from some of the active fan base at the home game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
