"He still can't make a decision" – Tresoldi torn between Germany and Italy

Club Brugge star Nicolo Tresoldi has represented Germany at U21 level 24 times, but is yet to decide whether he will continue playing for the country or switch his international allegiance to Italy at senior level.
“This is not a question that needs to be asked of me, but I have spoken to him and he said that he still can’t make a decision,” Germany U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo said, according to Kicker.
For now, the 22-year-old forward has opted to continue representing Germany’s U21 side.
“And that is a great sign for us,” Di Salvo continued.
“I think the world has changed. 20 or 30 years ago, players didn’t have to make these decisions at all.
“But the world has become more global, and many players have the opportunity to play for a second or even a third country. If they need time, you have to give them that time,” he said.
Born in Cagliari, Italy, Tresoldi is the son of an Italian father and an Argentine mother of Italian descent.
He moved to Germany with his family at the age of 13 and started playing for Hannover 96. He later acquired German citizenship.
