Sky Germany reported on Monday that Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade.

Now Bild have gone a step further, claiming that Bayern have already made contact with the 23-year-old's management.

The Bavarians are looking for a back-up for Harry Kane and apparently see Woltemade as a good fit.

Like Kane, the Germany Under-21 international likes to run back and be involved in the build-up. He's not only capable of playing up front, but also in a more withdrawn role.

Stuttgart, meanwhile, are under no pressure to sell Woltemade, who only joined on a free transfer from Werder Bremen last summer.

The 23-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances this season, is under contract until 2028.
