Amid a breakout season in Bayern Munich’s first team, Sport Bild recently claimed that the German champions are working on a long-term contract extension for Lennart Karl until 2031.

However, Kicker has now contradicted that report, stating that a long-term extension is not currently on the table. Karl is focused on continuing his impressive performances rather than negotiating a new deal, as per the German football magazine.

Multiple reports have suggested that Karl’s contract will automatically be converted into a professional deal until 2029 on his 18th birthday next month.

With this three-year extension already set, a further long-term agreement is not urgently needed.

Most recently, Karl started in Bayern’s 8-1 demolition of Wolfsburg on Sunday.
