There had been little news surrounding Karim Coulibaly in recent months, but with around three weeks remaining before the transfer deadline, a move for the centre-back could once again be on the cards.
According to a report from DeichStube, a transfer this summer is becoming increasingly likely following Coulibaly’s change of agent.
It is not out of the question that negotiations could resume soon after months of inactivity, although no concrete offer is currently on the table. While figures of up to €45 million were discussed in the spring, Werder Bremen are now reportedly hoping to receive a transfer fee of around €30 million.
According to DeichStube, Werder are primarily waiting for a potential buyer from England. The proceeds from any sale would then be quickly reinvested in further new signings.
