It has been reported that Karim Adeyemi and his management are demanding a release clause to agree to a contract extension beyond 2027 with Borussia Dortmund.
While BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl has made it clear that the club would generally like to avoid release clauses, Dortmund are willing to make an exception – provided the clause is set at at least €80 million, according to Sport Bild.
The reasoning is simple: Dortmund would consider selling the attacker for that amount even in open negotiations
Adeyemi’s current contract with the Black and Yellows runs until 2027, and the club would like to avoid entering his final year without an extension in place.
