Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha has been linked with a host of top clubs in recent months, and his performances at the World Cup for Germany have only increased speculation over his future.

Most recently, it was reported that Newcastle United had joined the race for the 25-year-old, but Manchester City and Manchester United are more appealing options for him, according to Bild.

The central midfielder has also been linked with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Nmecha came through the youth ranks at Manchester City and made three senior appearances for the club before joining VfL Wolfsburg in 2021.

He spent two years at Volkswagen Arena before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2023.

The highly-rated midfielder recently extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2030, with no release clause applicable for this summer.

However, reports suggest an €80 million release clause will become active in 2027 before dropping to €70 million in 2028.
