Gladbach

The Foals claimed a much-needed win against table-rival Wolfsburg last weekend to move up to 11th in the table. It’s still been a season to forget for Gladbach fans who already have the summer transfer window on their minds.

This weekend, Ko Itakura should continue in a midfield role alongside Julian Weigl, while Gerardo Seoane seems set on a back three of Wober, Elvedi and Friedrich. Gladbach suffered a 4-2 defeat against BVB in their first meeting of the campaign.

Seoane commented, "We always have a hunger to win games. We can make the statistics better if we work to improve our performances. We have to stay compact, limit their attacks and counter quickly."

Team News

Christoph Kramer, Grant-Leon Ranos, Tony Jantschke and Manu Kone are out. It’s unclear if Florian Neuhaus will be an option.

Dortmund

After a disappointing home loss to Stuttgart last weekend, Dortmund are now tied on points with Leipzig and sit 5th in the standings. They narrowly lost to Atletico in the Champions League midweek and now head back on the road again this Saturday.

BVB simply have to get through the brutal month of April with games against Atletico, Leverkusen and Leipzig ahead. But, they first can’t afford to look past Gladbach, as Edin Terzic isn’t expected to make any lineup rotations.

On Friday, Terzic said, "Gladbach is one of the strongest counter-attacking teams in the league. We will prepare well for that. It won't be easy tomorrow, but we are confident that we will put in a good performance tomorrow."

Team News

Ramy Bensebaini is the only player unavailable, as Donyell Malen should be ready for squad selection. Mats Hummels, Karim Adeyemi and Emre Can are all on four yellow cards.
