Hertha BSC welcome Burnley attacker Adewumi on loan

Sky Germany first confirmed that an agreement had been reached this morning, and now the capital club have approved the loan signing.

Hertha BSC have officially secured their first signing of the summer in Oluwaseun Adewumi who joins on loan from Burnley FC.

The playmaker is still under contract with the English Championship club until 2028 and It is unclear if Hertha secured an option to buy. 

Adewumi spent last season on loan in mainland Europe, where he scored six goals in 33 competitive appearances for Cercle Brugge.

“I am delighted that we were able to sign Oluwaseun,” explained Hertha's sporting director Benjamin Weber.

Despite his young age, he has already gained experience in various competitions and can play several roles and positions in attack. 

"He will benefit our game with his versatility, pace and dynamism," Weber said of the player who has already joined Hertha’s training camp.
