Mads Pedersen has left FC Augsburg to join Hertha BSC in the 2. Bundesliga.

The 29-year-old full-back has inked a one-year deal with Hertha, with an option to extend for another year.

“With the signing of Mads, we have been able to fill an important position in our squad. Mads will help us with his experience and mentality. We are very pleased that he chose us,” Hertha sporting director Benjamin Weber said of the new arrival.

Pedersen, who has made 115 Bundesliga appearances, is looking forward to playing in the German capital.

“After seven years in Augsburg, I’m looking forward to the new challenge at Hertha. It is a traditional club going through an exciting period of change, and I want to play my part in ensuring that this journey is a successful one,” he said.
