Kevin Trapp has notified Eintracht Frankfurt that he agrees to a move to Paris FC, should it be completed. This does not end his second stint at Eintracht Frankfurt just yet, as the Hessian club intends to keep him until they find a replacement.

Eintracht Frankfurt would be receiving €1 million in return for the 35-year-old German goalkeeper, and if the deal is finalised before the window closes in two weeks, Trapp would sign in the French capital until the summer of 2028, Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg reports.

This would be the second time that Trapp would play in Paris; he was with Paris Saint-Germain between 2015 and 2019, in between his first term and second term in Frankfurt. Paris FC's stadium, Stade Jean-Bouin, is just under 500 metres away from Parc des Princes.

Frankfurt are looking within the Bundesliga for a replacement; 30-year-old SV Werder Bremen goalkeeper Michael Zetterer appears to be the primary option, with negotiations having begun between Frankfurt and Bremen. Zetterer is worth €4.5 million at the moment.

In 26 matches in the Bundesliga last season, Trapp finished with a 12-8-6 record and kept six clean sheets. Zetterer finished 14-9-11 in his fourth season at Werder Bremen, with ten clean sheets in their 2024/25 campaign.
