Alejandro Grimaldo is ready to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer and would like to play in La Liga, journalist Nicolò Schira reports.

Atlético Madrid are interested in him and have offered him a contract until 2029 with an option to extend until 2030.

Fellow transfer specialist Matteo Moretto backs up this rumour, claiming the Spanish capital club's interest has become more concrete.

However, Grimaldo's compatriot at Chelsea in Marc Cucurella is also being considered by the side coached by Diego Simeone.

The 27-year-old is under contract at the London club until 2029, but is reportedly demanding a significantly greater salary than Grimaldo.

Regarding the Rhineland club's transfer plans, Sport BILD report that they will have around €60million to spend this summer.

This figure, however, is subject to increase if the likes of Grimaldo leaves or Malik Tillman, who was only signed last summer, is sold.
