After selling Alejandro Grimaldo to Atlético Madrid for a reported fee of around €22 million, Bayer Leverkusen appear to have found the Spaniard’s replacement at left-back.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano, Leverkusen have had an offer for Gutierrez accepted by SSC Napoli. The transfer fee is reportedly €30 million, including bonuses.

The Spanish full-back scored one goal and provided one assist in 36 appearances for Napoli during the 2025/26 campaign.

Die Werkself are also expected to strengthen the opposite side of the defence, with KRC Genk right-back Zakaria El Ouahdi reportedly among the options being considered for the right-back position.
