Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber remains a transfer target for Bayer Leverkusen as the window edges closer to closing.

Dutch reports suggest that Leverkusen have had an initial offer for Timber rejected, but the Bundesliga club’s interest persists, according to Kicker.

The German football magazine adds that Timber could arrive alongside Argentine midfielder Ezequiel Fernandez, paving the way for Aleix Garcia to move to West Ham for a fee around €20 million.

With only a year left on his Feyenoord contract and having declined an extension, Timber could prompt the Eredivisie club to sell now rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

Timber has made a total of 105 appearances for Feyenoord, racking up 18 goals and 13 assists.
