Mainz in advanced negotiations for FC Metz star Gauthier Hein

According to information from Onze Mondial, FSV Mainz 05 are in advanced negotiations for FC Metz talisman Gauthier Hein.
The versatile attacking player, who can play both on the wing and in the number 10 role, is set to leave the relegated side this summer.
Last season, the 29-year-old returned an impressive haul of 8 goals and 7 assists, but couldn't prevent them dropping into Ligue 2.
The Rhineland-Palatinate club is reportedly in advanced talks with Hein himself, and an offer has also been made to the French club.
The football magazine assumes that negotiations, which are positive for all parties, will continue in the coming hours.
Should the deal go through, it would be Hein's first professional club abroad having played his entire career in France to date.
