Maximilian Beier ended his goal drought at Signal Iduna Park with the winning goal in injury-time against Köln. The German international last scored a home Bundesliga goal back in March before tonight.

“There is almost no better moment than scoring a winning goal in front of the south stands,” said Beier in an interview with BVB-TV after the game. “I happened to be there at the right time and tried to score. Then, the ball goes between the legs of two players. I’m very happy.

“Everyone hit my head while we were celebrating. It was pure emotion. I didn't really know what to do after the goal. I just ran off and cheered.”
