Dortmund snap up youngster from Manchester City

19-year-old Dutch winger Jayden Braaf has joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City.
Borussia Dortmund have unveiled the signing of 19-year-old Jayden Braaf from Manchester City.

The Dutch youth international attacker joins BVB as a free agent on a contract until 2025.

“Jayden is someone whose development we have been watching closely for years, and he has shown in the past that he can make a difference with his pace and talent," stated new Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Braaf has had a long spell on the sidelines after sustaining a serious knee injury just before the end of the 2020/21 season while playing for Udinese on loan.

"After more than a year out with injury, he will certainly need some time to regain his former strength and establish himself fully in men's football. We want to give him that time and bring him through carefully. If Jayden can come through the next phase and stay focused, we will have a great talent on our hands."
