Official: Roca leaves Bayern for Leeds

Marc Roca has left Bayern to sign for Leeds United.
Bayern München have confirmed the departure of Spanish midfielder Marc Roca, who has joined Leeds United.

Leeds have paid a reported €12 million to sign Roca, who has put pen to paper on a four-year contract.

Bayern put €8 million on the table to land Roca from Espanyol in 2020. The midfielder went on to make 24 appearances for the German champions.

"Marc has a wonderful character, and he is a very professional, very good footballer. He's always shown us that when he's been in the team," stated Bayern board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic.

"Marc has now come to us with the desire for more playing time. We've therefore agreed on a transfer to Leeds United. We're convinced that Marc will give Leeds a lot of pleasure. His qualities are undisputed. We wish him every success on his future path."
