Eintracht Frankfurt were dismantled 3-0 last week at home against Sporting, while 10-man Marseille lost 2-0 away to Tottenham. Unlike Frankfurt's lackluster start to league play, the French club are tied at the top with PSG in Ligue 1 after compiling 19 points from seven matches.

Head coach Oliver Glasner had some choice words for his team after their 1-0 loss to struggling Wolfsburg on the weekend: "I am very disappointed with our performance. Slow, ponderous, and full of mistakes. - We will have to take a long look in the mirror tomorrow and have clear words about this."

Frankfurt have a gaping hole at left-back with both Christopher Lenz and Luca Pellegrini out with injuries on Tuesday. Youngster Faride Alidou could slot in as their replacement on the left wing, while Ansgar Knauff should start on the right.

Striker Randal Kolo Muani has impressed after moving from Nantes this summer and has even overtaken Rafael Borre in atttack. Kristijan Jakic will likely move into midfield, while Glasner could start 38-year-old veteran Makoto Hasebe in center defense with Evan N'dicka and Tuta.

After violent incidents between Köln and Nice fans last week, safety warnings have been issued for this match.
